Ischgl is the magnet of skiresorts in Austria, located another 30 minutes car drive after passing Arlberg tunnel.
It is one of the very rare tourism sites, where things have been built once with an organized masterplan in town. Getting into Ischgl, there is a bunch of carparkings first, in second row a flood of Hotels. At the Centers of the cablecars you got all sort of Entertainment facilities as the famous Apres ski. The whole village is car free but it has Taxis available anywhere which ride People around town for 10 Euros. Everything is in Walking distance.
The cablecar gondolas are going from the middle of Ischgl town up to Idalp. On top of the cablecar Station at Idalp is the Mekka for jetsetter sunbather which usually ride up without skiequipment.
Alpenhaus restaurnat with its VIP memberclub on first floor is right below the cablecar station.
Apres ski is in front of the 2 cablecar stations. One side in front of Pardatschbahn. The place is called Hotel Elizabeth with its Schatzi bar on entrance where Young Girls Dance on the bar for the usually 95 percent old male crowd.
Another side in front of Silvrettabahn the Apresski place is called Kuhstall which is a very full house with the rather Young crowd in the 20s, but it has many other bars around which cater to People somewhere between.
The whole Apres ski Thing then somehow Ends around 8PM at Schatzi which afterwards is getting closed at night, but Kuhstall is finally as well open as Disco for nightlife which starts after 11PM.
Ischgl has around 10000 Hotel beds which usually are fully booked a whole winter season Long. Having a Hotel somewhere in the middle of the crows means Prices for a hotelroom from 350, rather 500 Dollar upwards a night.
In January Ischgl is overflooded by Russians what usually lets others stay away.
The biggest nighlife spot is a massive place at Hotel Trofana, next to the Silvretta cable car station.
Even you expect it a shaky partytown from top to down all day and night Long, it is not that way. Within the skiresort barely any Music is playing somewhere except at the bar of Alpenhaus Restaurant and in Ischgl itself it concentrates at night arond Kustall and Trofana.
The cablecars in Ischgl are all top modern and even Ischgl is a full house, you barely will wait somewhere to get a lift up the mountain. The biggest and most modern cablecar is Pardatschbahn with its gondolas having a capacity of 20 people each.
The master mind with the big winter tourism Vision behind it all is called Günther Alois, which owns himself 2 Major hotels in town called Madlein and Elizabeth. Likely Madlein is the top Hotel in town, having as well an incredible Wellness area, Nightclub and tabledancer club within. An Underground tunnel with an electric stairway connects his 2 Hotels together and lets People get from Madlein straight down to Elizabeth, Schatzi and the Pardatsch cable car station in front.
Likely there would be many other skiresorts which could mess with Ischgl when comparing cablecars and the Kilometers of slopes, but what makes it that Special is, the whole town is freed from cars and streets and all things to do are within a walking distance of 10 minutes what basicly gives it an ambaince not many places on earth catering to tourists can offer.
