Most popular bathing site is in Uster where as well nudists have their own kind of small beach. Most popular restaurant called Schifflände is right at the lake in Maur.

Some other facilities right at the lake are in Greifensee which is a popular wedding spot.

Greifensee is popular with Joggers. The whole way around is 18km and has a yearly jogger contest. In recent years it got popular with inline skaters. A separate way from the road for Skaters is leading around the lake. Likely it is beside of Tösstal the most popular spot for inline skating in the canton of Zürich.
