Winterthur is getting the nightlife city in Switzerland. You will not find in Zurich such a bunch of bars and clubs all over the city but in Winterthur it all concentrates within walking distanze. Often the clubs are just next door to each other as in the area of Salzhaus and Bolero.
With this bunch of places2go they once get maybe very smart now and organize it straight the way to set it up for target groups. No one in the 30s wants to dance with the big crowd in the 20s. No one of the Swiss wants all those secondo alpha males around and those in the 40s need their own place. Now it looks like rven the guys in the 50s luke to go out if you give them a place but what happens is, they fill up the U40 parties and let the ones in the 40s run away.
So what is so damn hard for those operators to atick together and defining which place is catering to which target group. Of course you got everywhere a big bunch of those from 18 to 25, but being then circled by such young crowd when being over 30 might not be big fun for someone when having the youngsters left hsnd and the secondo alpha males between.
That is the second point how so many clubs killed themselves as P1 and Adagio. With an overflood of secondos, the Swiss guys run away. So how hard could it be to make a place for those secondos but another ones are watching out with a doorguard those alpha foreign males stay out?
It is like with Daniel Bumann and his restaurants which try to cook 100 different meals but no one is any good. Then Bumann taught about just to cook 1 meal but this must be special.
So it is with clubs. Instead of letting people run all over Switzerland at weekend, watching into one after another club to find out it is not the right crowd, those organizers should start to explain WHO they are catering to. To 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s or secondos and if they have or want a full hooker house as Adagio.
In Winterthur now it has a bunch of places where uou got no clue about who is catering to the who and at weekends they are all full with 18-25 with a bunch of secondos beyween chasing the girls for nothing.
But if they achieve in Winterthur to manage and define this, it could be the nightlife city of Switzerland getting famous as yhe places by now are great set up.
