The main attraction in this whole canton is the skiresort of Braunwald. Glarus has a stunning landscape, but forget about the rest. You will feel like in the 18th century back here. No places to go out, no nice buildings, no Wellness, no attractions. Seems as this whole canton has been sleeping since 200 years. Buildings are mostly looking run down beside of a handful modern chickenbox style concrete bunkers inbetween. Seems as in this whole canton no one ever had any creative idea to make something attracting except of the real estate sharks which drive Prices high. But maybe once in 10 years they will recognice they should even better give land for free to someone having any idea before all young People definitely are running away. It is a region where nobody young wants to life as it offers absolutely nothing. And with actual property overspeculated Prices this whole thing is not going to change once soon.
The most attracting scenery in this whole canton is laid behind Elm and actually used by the Swiss Military as a tanks shooting farm below Vorab where on another side of the mountains the skireosrt of Flims/Laax is located.
