The Kampin jetty operates since December 2013 for the boats of the 2 resorts at Sok San Bay on the outer side of Koh Rong. Those resorts are helping each other out with transfer, so it\'s possible one or another one is bringing people tot he island on the outer side.
In past used just by longtail boats and a couple other funny booze cruises going to the inner islands as Bamboo and Koh TaKiev. In Since end of 2013 this pier serves for the bigger catamaran boats as Princess and Seacambodia which operate to the 2 Rong islands. The Freedom 1 Yacht operates from here as well which is operating and both, Koh Rong and Koh Rong Samloem and makes first island hopping opportunities since end of 2013.
Hard to find those piers for tourists and they are too far away behind the port. So in the meantime it\'s more convenient just to get right in front of the tourism scene on a boat at the different beaches as Serendip, Indep and Victory. But in past those piers have been used by most boats operting to Koh Rong. The give the boats a protected area from waves because located inside the port area and most boats finally dock here at nights after operations.
2011 a booze cruise party boat with 92 people on board has capsized in front of Otres beach between the 2 islands. Luckely 4 fisherboats have been nearby and all people survived the accident. The boat was chartered by JJ\'s and had a 300% overload without enough existing lifejackets. JJ\'s owners have been running away after the accident until it was clear everyone survived. In the meantime most boats have enough lifejackets on board but we are in Cambodia and rules will be bent. Be responsible for yourself when going on boats and check it yourself. Normally a wooden boat in Sihanoukville has an admission for around 30-40 people and if you find yourself in a crowd of up to 100 people this boat will be endangered and a couple waves will be enough to capsize it with a load of 4 tons (50 people) on a sundeck. Be aware as well that most Khmer people cannot even swim if there are any on such overloaded boats.
Eversince the Booze Cruise accident happened, most Khmer tourist boats are having life jackets on board and they are mounted the right way usually. But...there are still western operators going out with up to 100 people, having still no life jackets available. Make sure yourself. Some boats are built for the river but operate at sea and can capsize with waves more than 2m when the sundeck has an overload by coincidence.

Victory Pier: Just for safe dock 4 boats. Unprotected. Suntours daytrip.
Port: Protected. Normally no entrance for tourists. Suntours docks here at nights.
Royal Pier: 1st Pier behind the port. Several dive boats. private charter boats. KohRong.SokSan Ferry.
Pier 52: Second Pier behind the Port. Fisher boats. Dive shop boats. Freedom Nr.2 boat.
