The Story starts with one of myself and after living 10 years in Hotels around the world i hate Hotels. Now to explain you what it is about - I checked in with a Swiss Hotel and booked a room paying in Dübendorf 180 Dollar in a Business Hotel looking quite good. So i wondered about the quite cheap Price and finally came back with my Girl and found finally a single room they gave me. So paying another 100 bucks for the room i got at least one we have been able to stay and then turning on the light...i had a Hospital Illumination with a superwhite bulb. So i wanted to watch TV a bit and found out about the TV mounted on the ceiling was not to turn around to my bed fully so i watched TV from a 45 degree angle. And finally in the morning you find out the curtains are not closing and have daylight in your room.
So you are a Person wanted to bang your Girl in a Hotel room having a White bulb, nothing having a single charm and ist sterile like everything in Swiss you will NOT bang anymore and fall depressed spending a fortune for a something you will never do again....a mistake.
And then listen stories about Swiss Hotels and tourism...and you will laugh out loud....LOL.
So ist the same Little Thing as with Restaurants where Daniel Bumann taught those idealess owners about doing something with Passion...but the Hotels are 20 years behind and they got no Bumann told them. The only creativity Swiss Hotel owners have is ....cleaning good like an idiot and make it sterile looking like in a Protestant Church....and of course then....the most important Thing Swiss People think first about. Making stunning prices for this mess.
And then you hear them complain...complain...and once more complain about why is god damned nobody coming except of a Chinese guy to our Hotels. To explain them, the Chinese are used to this concrete uncharm mess of buildings having no Soul nor a heart...but all others are going somewhere else or better stay home not to be frustrated once again.
This is why Swiss tourism and Hotels are empty. Overpriced, uncharming and sterile. No single Passion. And the few ones understood about this will be a full house, of course...as there as so few.
So...to be once Bumann for Hotels. All they Need to do is making it with Passion...giving it a Soul...and bringing an ambiance into those churches of bedroomplaces. And when People once start to recognize our Hotels do have a Soul more than just Money...Money, maybe this will be a start where tourists start to come again. No matter paying 500 bucks a night for a Hotel room....But then...WE want not to sleep in a sterile church letting us freeze below our Sheets with a holy White bulb over our beds.
To give all those hotelowners an idea about how it works....You Google the absolute top Hotels in the world. Take Thailand and Bali and Google for \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'Four Seasson\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\' and whatever else where the best made any Hotels. And then you take from 100pictures everywhere the best element...mix it up with own ideas and start to do something in every room unique...giving it a PASSION. And your customers will see the difference and they will enjoy. And do not Forget to run to a shop and buy a charming light for every room. And do not Forget the charming Colors as if you stick with BLUE your customers will feel like in a Hospital. How damn hard is it to understand about this Little Basics for so many Swiss uncreative People???
Most then seeing others nice Hotels will say...ohh god this is too expensive. And they not even have the creativity just to take a cool idea and make it not that expensive with 2 own Hands running to a forest and looking for something unique what would be free of Charge to take....but this are Swiss People. 2 left Hands and handcuffed to all sides what destroys any sort of creativity. All it Needs to be is real Swiss and then they are prowd about to announce...WE GOT THE CLEANEST ROOM IN THE WORLD FOR YOU..and Forget about to mention how sterile it everywhere Looks.
Pillow...Curtain...Charming light...Wood...ambiance and a place for People to meet in a Lounge where you got a decent Sofa with pillows once again.
Even we are in a freezing Country...most forgot about a fireplace here. And this all are the small Little things why nobody wants to get to a Swiss Hotel just getting depresed about no value but stunning Prices instead.
Consider this and you will get your full house...or stay empty and Forget about my words.
